Abstract:

Views of California and the Western U.S. taken by an avid amateur photographer in mid-20th century, with an emphasis on scenery in National Parks, State Parks and other wilderness areas. Includes many views of San Francisco, Oakland, Yosemite National Park and the High Sierra. Other California locations and subjects include Muir Woods, Golden Gate International Exposition, Disneyland, Marineland, coast redwoods, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Mt. Lassen, Death Valley and Mt. Shasta. Also includes several views taken in Oregon, and a smaller number of views from Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Wyoming, Arizona and Utah.
